never enough

It seems I can never get enough of the sky, the sunsets that we enjoy from our viewpoint....

April showers....

I truly would prefer "April showers" in liquid form but, hey, bring on moisture and then the May flowers!

wind and snow...

I do not have much liking for wind, nor am I all that fond of snow but I am fascinated with the combination, with the snowscape that is created.  When the sun is low in the southern sky the shadows created in early morning/evening are quite incredible.  One could almost imagine a white sandy beach....

moonlight on the Caribbean ocean

These pictures do not do justice to the beauty we saw...... the full moon over the ocean, the shimmer on the waves..... absolutely incredible!

Fifty-seven years..

I was four years old and the flower girl for Dennis and my sister Christine who were married on March 5, 1954.
Yikes that is a long time ago although Dennis told me that they were 10 and 12 when they were married.
(Nice try Dennis!)
At one point when life was extremely difficult Christine asked Dennis why he stayed.  His answer was: "Because I promised I would".  And I am sure there were times when that is why Christine stayed too!

congratulations and thank you for the example!

sometimes one needs to look down!

In my efforts to capture photos of the ocean I almost missed the beauty at my feet......

Santa Claus

On Christmas Eve Santa Claus comes and fills the stockings that eventually 'are hung on the chimney with care.....' But on Christmas morning the 'man in red' returns for a brief visit and brings a small gift for each of our grand children.
Age changes attitudes and beliefs but apparently there is still one innocent believer and one who is still too small to notice or care.
A tradition that will continue for a few years yet!
